Who am I?
My name is Marlee. I’m a wife and mother of one, soon to be two, with hopes, God willing, of welcoming many more little ones into our home.
We live in a small Appalachian town in an old farmhouse, slowly turning it into a simple, beautiful homestead. After years of living the fast-paced, modern life, from partying teenagers to chasing success, my husband Elijah and I chose a different path.
Elijah is an artist, and we have been together over a decade as we’ve built a traditional, conservative Christian family rooted in faith, order, and joy.
Classical Motherhood exists to reclaim what modernity has tried to erase: timeless beauty, deep faith, strong family bonds, and ancestral wisdom lived out in the everyday rhythms of homemaking. I am also here to bring you easy, wholesome recipes to nourish your families.
Here you’ll find honest reflections – toxin-free living, classical and ancestral cooking, gentle mothering in real time, appreciation for classical art and history, and quiet thoughts on how we can resist the disconnection of modern life while embracing the ancient, God-honoring way of womanhood and family.
Whether you’re just beginning to question the modern script or you’ve already stepped away from it, you’re welcome here. This is a space for mothers who long for beauty instead of busyness, truth instead of trends, and a life that feels rooted rather than restless.
Thank you for being here.
-Marlee
